We’ll create text content that you can use in a number of ways. Content pieces often work well in tandem with other services to achieve specific marketing goals. Each content piece purchased covers up to 200 words per hour.

Content is a vital strategy that supports other marketing efforts, such as SEO and social media. It improves your Google authority, brings new users to your site, and gives you a key to unlock relevant influencers on social media.

Our team will research and produce content that fits the parameters of the publishing medium, speaks to the right audience, and clearly conveys your message in a way that informs, excites, and engages with your customers.

Several types of content writing are available for purchase, each with their own goals: sales content, editorial content, and technical content.

Sales Content

Sales content is content that conveys the value that your product or service brings to your customer, and is designed to convince the reader to make a purchase. Types of sales content that we can provide include, but are not limited to:

Editorial Content

Editorial content is content that’s designed to inform or entertain readers rather than sell a product or service. However, editorial content still provides many tangible benefits to businesses, such as increasing website traffic, establishing brand identity and expertise, and expanding your customer base.

Technical Content

While technical content may lie under the umbrella of sales content or editorial content, it is set apart by its higher level of detail and complexity. Types of editorial content we can provide include, but are not limited to:

  • White paper content
  • Process documentation (instructional materials and manuals)
  • Any content on technical subjects, such as finance, IT, engineering, high-tech manufacturing, energy, biotech, aerospace, etc.

Content Writing Process

  1. Once you select a type of content piece, a Marketeering Group team member will reach out to learn the specifics of what you need. If you aren’t sure what type of content you need, an account manager is also available to help you determine what makes most sense.
  2. The content writer will use this information to guide their research and content production.
  3. You may decide whether your approval is necessary before content is published. If you wish to review content before publishing, we will send you each piece and await your approval/edits before making it live on your site (two rounds of edits only for nonmonthly clients). If you do not wish to review and approve each content piece prior to publication, we will give you five days to respond with edits before publishing.
  4. Once you approve the piece (or, if you do not request any revisions within five days of delivery), we will publish or distribute it (in the case of off-site content).
  5. We will make note of content piece placement in our project management system for you to access it.

Content Prices

Content costs $98 per hour and we average 200 words/hour. We require a minimum of 4 hours for each content piece to adequately cover research and writing time. This means that each content piece costs a minimum of $392. Purchase additional hours for longer pieces.

NOTE: If Marketeering Group is responsible for planning topics and/or associated keyword research, such as for ongoing content retainers, we charge an additional 20% of the retainer for this time.

Examples of hours to charge for different content types are below:

  • Typical content generation: min 4 hours/month (+ 20% planning/strategy)
  • Expert thought leadership: min 4 hours/month (+ 20% planning/strategy) *Strategy time here could be used to interview client to get their expert thoughts
  • Content clusters: min 4 hours/month per blog; min 10 hours/month per pillar page; min 26 hours/month per 1 cluster (+ 20% planning/strategy)
  • Gated content: min 4 hours/month (+ 20% planning/strategy)
  • Social content: min 4 hours/month (+ 20% planning/strategy)
  • Skyscraper content: min 8 hours/month (+ 20% planning/strategy)
  • User-generated content: min 4 hours/month (+ 20% planning/strategy)
  • Off-site articles: min 4 hours/month (+ 20% planning/strategy)
  • Press releases: min 4 hours/month (+ 20% planning/strategy)

What are the limitations involved with content marketing pieces?

  • We average 200 words/hour.
  • If Marketeering Group is responsible for planning topics and/or associated keyword research, such as for ongoing content retainers, we charge an additional 20% of the retainer for this time.
  • Once delivered, the content piece is considered complete regardless of whether it is published or used.
  • For nonmonthly clients, each content piece has a limit of two client revision rounds. Additional rounds are billed at add-­on rates posted on our website.
  • Additional content pieces and re­writes (if a completed piece is deemed undesired for publication) are billed at add­-on rates posted on our website.
  • By purchasing this service, you are agreeing to the general Marketeering Group service terms and conditions.
  • Will the writer be able to find the information they need in order to write the piece online, or will the client provide the information? If the client is providing the information, make sure any scheduled timelines are contingent upon these details being provided.
  • Would you (the client) like to review content before it is published?
  • Will we be responsible for publishing content? (Typically applicable for clients who don’t use WordPress.)
