Developing your vision and strategy is the first step in a long-term plan for podcast creation. We will guide you through the process of developing and maintaining an effective and sustainable podcast workflow.

Podcast Strategy, Management and Co-creation efforts can include, but are not limited to:

  • Podcast hosting and RSS feed setup
  • Podcast vision, strategy and logistics development
  • Keyword research
  • Podcast content calendar creation and management
  • Guest research and outreach (if applicable)
  • Editing podcast media provided by the client into final episodes
  • Media design
  • Publication and optimization of episodes on both podcast feeds and YouTube feeds
  • Meetings and consultation with the client

Note: The client is responsible for recording their podcast and providing our team with audio files. We can provide technical support and consultation during this part of the process if needed.

1. Discovery & Editorial Style Guides
If you don’t have existing style/messaging guidelines for us to follow, our podcast strategy process will begin with a messaging questionnaire. Tailored questions give us an idea of your company’s voice and personality, who we’re creating for (who your customers are), and other details that will help shape your podcast and make it as effective and authentic as possible.

2. Setup and Strategy Development
Before we start creating your podcast, we will set you up on a podcast hosting site, which is where your show will be distributed to all RSS feeds. With your Messaging Questionnaire in mind, we will develop the style and logistics of how your podcast will be created.

3. Keyword Research
We will perform keyword research that will either inform new episode topics to record or help us optimize already existing themes.

4. Podcast Content Calendar and Guest Research
All of the insights we’ve gathered up until this point will help us form a plan for the pisodes in your podcast content calendar. You will have the chance to review your podcast content calendar and make suggestions/changes before recording any of the podcast topics. When relevant, this could include researching quality guests and asking them to be on your show.

4. Recording Your Podcast
Podcast creation requires collaboration between you and our team. You will be responsible for recording your podcast and providing us with your raw audio files. Any intro, outro, music, or other media should also be provided. We can provide consultation on all of the required elements if they have not been created yet. We can also offer technical support and consultation on equipment and recording.

5. Podcast Editing
Once you provide the raw audio files and media to our team, we get to work on editing those into a final podcast episode. Depending on your plan, this could also include social media edits of the same content. One round of revisions is included in an edit.

6. Podcast Publication, Design & Optimization
We then publish the final podcast on agreed-upon platforms and optimize it for best performance. This part of the process could include but is not limited to:

  • Any design work for the episode, from thumbnails to header images
  • SEO on titles, descriptions, show notes, tags, closed captions, links and more
  • Blog creation and publication to promote the podcast (if you have an existing content retainer or have paid for a one-time content project)
  • Each podcast episode has a limit of two client revision rounds during editing – additional revisions are discussed on a case by case basis.
  • Optimization services cover content optimization of existing work and as described in the scope of work section of this agreement.
  • The work that our podcast team performs is limited to the amount of hours you purchased.
  • Access must be granted to existing relevant sites like your podcast hosting platform, Youtube or the backend of your website before work can begin.

Note: The client is responsible for recording their podcast and providing our team with audio files. We can provide technical support and consultation during this part of the process if needed.

  • Do you have existing style/branding/messaging associated with your podcast yet?
  • Do you know what kind of show you plan to make? (i.e. guest interviews, informational, conversational, etc.)
  • How much time do you (the client) have to commit to podcast production per month?
  • How many episodes do you hope to publish per month?
  • What are your current podcast production capabilities? What kinds of equipment do you plan to record with?
  • Would you (the client) like to review content before it is published?
