This product is for reviewing and updating a WordPress website prior to beginning a maintenance plan. Every developer builds and maintains websites differently, so before taking over maintenance of an existing site, our team needs to thoroughly review the site build to make sure that we understand how the site functions. We also check that all necessary theme and plugin licenses are active and accessible, and that the hosting plan provides the necessary access and functionality needed for maintenance. Then we install our curated suite of website maintenance, performance and security plugins, and add the website to our maintenance and monitoring tools, to make sure that the site is in a good initial state for ongoing maintenance.

  • The audit includes checking the website build, theme, plugins, current WP and PHP versions, hosting environment, etc.
  • This service includes up to 4 hours for the audit and any small fixes that can be done in that time, such as simple plugin updates and installing our suite of maintenance tools.
  • If larger fixes are needed to prep the site for regular maintenance, costs for those will be quoted separately.
  • If the audit uncovers any conditions that will increase the time needed for regular monthly maintenance on the website, we will send a new quote for the monthly maintenance plan. We will wait for client approval on the new quote before continuing with the monthly maintenance service.
  • If there are any issues that disqualify the site from taking advantage of our monthly maintenance plan, we will provide recommendations to fix the issues.
  • After any additional fixes are approved, or if no additional fixes are needed, the site will be added into our regular monthly maintenance plan.
  • The client must provide all requested login credentials for the current website, before the audit. This includes WordPress admin access, hosting account access, ftp credentials, and domain registration account logins, as well as information on any necessary 2FA verification methods and contacts.
  • Once we have these, the Marketeering Group developers will perform the site audit. There is typically a two week turn-around time on the audit.
  • If there is additional work needed to prepare the site for regular maintenance, we will provide the client with a quote for the additional work needed, and a timeline for completion.
  • If the site does not qualify for our monthly maintenance plan, we will provide recommendations for the fixes needed.
  • Once the audit and any needed fixes are complete, the monthly maintenance plan will begin, and the WordPress Website Maintenance service terms & conditions will apply.

We must be provided with all necessary login credentials for the current website services, in order to perform the maintenance audit. These could include, but are not limited to, WordPress admin access, hosting account access, ftp credentials, and domain registration account logins. We will also need information on any relevant 2FA verification methods and contacts for these accounts.

This audit product does not guarantee that the website being reviewed will qualify for our monthly website maintenance service. If the website or hosting service does not meet our maintenance requirements, we will provide the client with the reasons why, as well as recommendations for fixing the issues, if possible.

If the website needs additional development work, in order to meet the requirements for our maintenance service, we will provide a separate quote for those costs, and request approval before completing the work.

Once the Website Maintenance Audit is successfully completed, the WordPress Website Maintenance plan will begin and the terms and conditions of that service will apply.
